Paramore chief Hayley Williams dropped 17 new songs final week, and, now, a type of tracks has gotten its personal music video. Directed by Zachary Gray, the visible follows Williams round Nashville—her longtime hometown—as she dips into bachelorette vacationer traps, dances by Consultant Justin Jones, and sings karaoke whereas trying downcast. Williams wrote, carried out, and recorded all 17 of her new songs—which stay standalone tracks, not an album—with manufacturing by Daniel James. Further contributions come from Brian Robert Jones and Joey Howard, whereas Jim-E Stack helped work on “True Believer.” One of many songs, “Mirtazapine,” was beforehand debuted on Nashville public radio station WNXP just a few weeks in the past, and Williams carried out it live throughout Bleachers’ set at Newport Folks Competition in July.
Again in 2020, Williams launched her debut solo album, Petals for Armor, in addition to the three-track Petals for Armor: Self-Serenades EP. That following 12 months, she dropped Flowers for Vases / Descansos, which she described as “a prequel, or some kind of detour between elements 1 and a pair of of Petals.” As for Paramore, they launched their fifth studio album, This Is Why, in 2023.
